 πŸŽ² Let it Hit

I created an alternate Battle Mechanic for Let It Roll.

It uses a Target to Hit number and Also a Range number that may not be Exceeded. 1 is always a miss.

This allows better balance on attacking with a small vs large weapon against different type of targets.

🎲 To The Point

To The Point is a Roleplaying game that relies on the strategic use of skill points. It does use a few six sided dice rolls as needed, but the points are more important.

In this game, Skill Points are used to help accomplish all of the various actions that occur during an adventure.

You will decide what points are to be used for the completion of a given task. All of the various points are limited so you must choose wisely or you may run out, just when you need them most.

Types of points:

There are many different types of points within the game, but the big three to keep track of, are Mind, Body & Spirit.

There is also another Skill called Luck.

These Skills make up your life force.

If your Body should reach zero, then you have come to the end of the line and your character will join their ancestors in the afterlife.

If your Mind reaches zero then you cannot think and will not survive long.

If your Spirit reaches zero then you will not have the will to continue.

If your Luck reaches zero then you will be living dangerously.

πŸ€– ChatGPT

I asked Chat GPT to generate some random Encounters for a Roleplaying Game.

Here is the output.

Certainly! Here are some random events that you could use in a solo roleplaying game:

  1. A sudden storm blows in, forcing you to seek shelter or continue on through the rain.

  2. You stumble upon an ancient ruin, hidden in the wilderness. What secrets might it hold?

  3. A band of hostile raiders attacks you, seeking to steal your supplies and equipment.

  4. A friendly NPC crosses your path, offering to travel with you or provide valuable information.

  5. You discover a hidden cache of treasure, but it is guarded by a powerful monster or trap.

  6. A mysterious stranger approaches you with a dangerous proposal. Will you accept or decline?

  7. You fall ill with a strange disease or curse, and must find a cure before it's too late.

  8. An unexpected earthquake or avalanche traps you in a dangerous situation.

  9. You stumble upon a secret cult or organization, and must decide whether to ally with them or oppose them.

  10. A powerful artifact or magic item falls into your possession, but it comes with a dangerous cost.

These are just a few examples of the many random events that could occur in a solo roleplaying game. Depending on the game you are playing, you could generate these events using dice rolls, random tables, or your own imagination.

You should give the AI a look. It could be a useful tool for Solo Gaming.

🎲 The Oracle of Cyrus

I like to use D6 dice for many of my solo roleplaying games. When I do, I usually use several and usually they are of different colors. Doing so allows me to move the game along a bit faster.

Instead of rolling one dice for each thing that I need in my adventure, I instead assign different values for each color and roll the whole bunch at once.

I will assign green for vegetation, blue for water, Yellow for terrane, black for path etc.

I use Black, White and Tan for my Oracle questions. Black is No, White is Yes and Tan is Maybe.
High number wins and a Tie means Unknowable.

Here is a link to more of what I'm talking about.
